ABOUT

For our Capitol Hill townhouse project, the goal was to restore character and charm to a space that began as a blank slate. To achieve this, we immediately introduced a stunning landscape mural-turned-wallpaper by Nashville-based artist Charlotte Terrell. This masterful piece, timeless yet fresh, grounds the home in natural hues while evoking a sense of wonder, place, and artistry. To complement the mural and bring a dynamic element to the kitchen, we incorporated a striking set of six woodblock prints by Cuban artist Dairan Fernández de la Fuente. These prints add texture and vibrancy, while also reflecting the homeowner’s global travels. The result is a harmonious juxtaposition of history and craftsmanship alongside worldly influences, creating a home that is both artful and deeply personal. Every piece tells a story, infusing the space with warmth, character, and life and balancing the contemporary and traditional interplay that this house was redesigned to achieve.
