ABOUT
For this newly renovated Woodley Park home, Capital Creatives worked closely with two first-time collectors to thoughtfully build and curate an art collection that would bring warmth into their reimagined first-floor spaces. While the clients knew where artwork belonged architecturally within the home, they had never collected art before and were eager to approach the process intuitively and collaboratively. Together, we focused on selecting works that not only complemented the renovation, but transformed the feeling of the interiors entirely — introducing light that allowed each room to feel more alive.
Working closely with local artists, galleries, and vendors — including Calloway Fine Art — allowed the clients to visualize works within their spaces and make informed yet instinctive decisions throughout the process. Scale, light, palette, and emotional tone were all carefully considered to ensure each acquisition felt deeply connected to the architecture and the daily experience of the home. Throughout the collection, the artworks function almost as additional sources of light themselves — brightening walls that once felt quiet or incomplete and drawing new dimensions into the renovated interiors. The result is a home that feels totally illuminated.
